Material: 100% cotton canvas (weight 125 g/m²) – just firm enough, yet beautifully soft.

Width 160 cm: This is a huge advantage! You can comfortably cut even large pieces without unnecessary seaming.

Safety: The fabric is Oeko-Tex Standard 100 (Class 1) certified. It is therefore safe even for babies under 3 years old.

 

5 ideas on what to conjure up with The Little Prince

The motif calls out to bring joy to a child's room. Don't know where to start? Here is our inspiration:

 

1. Treasure bag (or gym bag)

An ideal project for beginners. The Little Prince on a drawstring bag will delight any schoolchild. All you need is a rectangle of fabric and a piece of strong twill tape or ribbon.

 

2. Fabric storage basket 

The pattern invites organization. Sew a basket for socks, LEGO bricks, or baby toiletries. Our tip: To make sure the basket stands up and doesn't collapse, don't forget to reinforce the fabric with a strong stabilizer; we recommend Ronofix. Make the inside a solid color, perhaps yellow like the stars!

 

3. Baby gear: Nests and bumpers 

Thanks to the certificate for children under 3, this fabric is ideal for baby nests, crib bumpers, or nursing pillows. Cotton is breathable and pleasant to the touch. What you will need: Besides the fabric, you can't do without quality filling. We recommend padding, sakon for bumpers, and hollow fiber for nests and pillows, as it holds its shape even after washing.

Design: Combine The Little Prince pattern with soft minky fabric on the inside of the nest for an incredibly cuddly result.

 

4. Eco-friendly tote bag 

Why carry plastic bags when you can have a stylish canvas tote? If you want the bag to carry heavier groceries, use ready-made webbing straps instead of sewing handles. It looks professional and saves you work.

 

5. Bedding full of dreams

Watch out for shrinkage: Cotton is a natural material. Expect it to shrink by 3–5%. Be sure to wash the fabric at 40°C and iron with steam before sewing.
